Our Story So Far...
My entrepreneurial journey began from a personal passion and a noticeable gap in the market. I've always had a deep love for fashion, constantly seeking out the latest trends to keep my wardrobe fresh and exciting. However, this love affair with fashion came with its own set of challenges. The cost of keeping up with ever-changing trends was becoming increasingly unsustainable, both for my bank balance and the environment. This realisation hit me hard, sparking a desire to find a solution that could satisfy my fashion cravings without the hefty price tag and environmental impact. My quest for a solution led me to frequent charity shops, hunting for those hidden gems among the racks. While I occasionally struck gold, finding quality pieces was often hit-and-miss, and the persistent musty smell that clung to the clothes was off-putting, to say the least. It dawned on me that there must be a better way to recycle fashion without compromising on quality or the shopping experience.
This is where the idea for 'ReTake' was born. I envisioned a business that could bridge the gap between the desire for affordable, on trend clothing and the need for sustainable fashion practices. 'ReTake' is my answer to the fashion industry's responsibility problem. We offer a service where customers can sell their unwanted clothing for cash, without waiting weeks for them to sell, giving their garments a second chance at life. But we don't stop there. We process each item to ensure it meets our high-quality standards and aligns with the current season and trends before reselling it at a fraction of the retail price. This provides our customers with access to affordable, on trend clothing but also promotes a circular fashion economy, reducing waste and the demand for new, resource-intensive production.
